The Engineer I will perform structural design and analysis calculations for reactor components, apply ASME Code requirements, qualify designs using thermal and structural FEA, and collaborate with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams.

Responsibilities:
- Accomplish design and analysis plans from preliminary through final design, translating performance and structural requirements into compliant engineering solutions using lessons learned and best practices
- Qualify component designs using ANSYS-based thermal and structural FEA, closed‑form analytical methods, and Westinghouse internal engineering codes
- Collaborate with systems, manufacturing, and component teams to ensure subsystem integration and resolve design and production issues
- Demonstrate technical acument, delivering high‑quality engineering work that meets safety, quality, and schedule expectations

Required Qualifications:
- We consider BS in Mechanical Engineering, (alternate degrees such as nuclear, aerospace, structural engineering with relevant experience)
- Proficiency in ANSYS Workbench and at least a familiarity with ANSYS Mechanical (APDL)
- 0 or more years of experience required
