SUMMARY:
Laukoa is currently seeking a PHA Event Coordinator to support Periodic Health Assessment (PHA) and Mental Health Assessment (MHA) events for the New York Army National Guard (NYARNG). The PHA Event Coordinator is responsible for the overall planning, synchronization, execution, and administrative oversight of assigned events and serves as the primary contractor point of contact for on-site event execution. Work is primarily on weekends, with some occasional weekdays, at varying sites throughout New York. All work is a part-time "as needed" basis.
Hourly Pay: $37.50 Plus Travel Expenses
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate and oversee on-site execution of NYARNG PHA/MHA events
- Serve as the primary contractor point of contact for event execution, scheduling, staffing coordination, operational readiness, and issue resolution
- Coordinate site setup, staffing assignments, equipment accountability, records management, and coordination with Government representatives and installation personnel
- Ensure contractor personnel report as scheduled and maintain required credentials and training
- Monitor Service Member throughput, patient flow, and overall operational efficiency throughout the event
- Identify and resolve staffing shortages, bottlenecks, and operational deficiencies in real time
- Oversee quality assurance procedures and ensure timely completion of required documentation, reports, referrals, and medical readiness data
- Immediately notify the Government of significant operational, clinical, safety, credentialing, privacy, or staffing issues that may affect mission execution or Service Member care
- Maintain on-site supervisory authority throughout scheduled events and ensure services are delivered professionally and in accordance with applicable requirements
- Safeguard Service Member information and ensure compliance with HIPAA, privacy, occupational safety, and applicable federal, state, DoD, Army, and National Guard requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 10+ years of experience in event leadership, coordination, operations, or program/event management
- Demonstrated experience planning, coordinating, and executing healthcare, medical readiness, clinical, or similar high-volume events
- Experience supervising multidisciplinary clinical and administrative personnel in fast-paced event environments
- Strong operational management skills, including staffing, workflow, records, equipment, quality assurance, and competing event requirements
- Proven success resolving staffing shortages, workflow bottlenecks, and operational issues in real time
- Strong leadership, customer service, interpersonal, and oral/written communication skills
- Basic computer knowledge and skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint
- Available to work at military locations throughout New York State, including weekends and occasional weekdays
- Must complete required contract training and maintain required system, background, and military installation access
- Must comply with HIPAA, privacy, occupational safety, and applicable federal, state, DoD, Army, and National Guard requirements
- Collaborative, solutions-oriented, and comfortable maintaining on-site supervisory authority and escalating significant event issues promptly
