Job Description
Summary: Landscape Forms is an industry leading commercial outdoor lighting, site furniture, and structure designer and manufacturer. They are seeking a highly creative, passionate, and self-motivated individual to work alongside and be mentored by their team of designers.
Responsibilities:
- Study the Landscape Forms product portfolio and understand the brand ethos
- Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions
- Assist in the development of design concepts, prototypes, and branding
- Participate in design critiques to improve design aesthetics, ergonomics, sustainability
- Conduct competitive market research and identify new sustainable materials initiatives
Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an Industrial Design program as a Junior or a Senior
- Hands-on and knowledgeable with and about basic woodworking and prototyping tools and equipment, welding experience in MIG or TIG is a plus
- Proficiency in either SolidWorks or Rhino, Keyshot, Adobe CS, and experience with common design-centric AI is a plus
- Logical thinker with clear decision making and excellent verbal, written, and collaboration skills
- Strong sketching and visualization skills and a passion to learn and grow as a designer
- Basic understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and ergonomics
