Staff Accountant at Lanco Integrated in Westbrook, ME

Summary: Lanco Integrated is a leading manufacturer of custom equipment for production automation. They are seeking a Staff Accountant to join their Finance team, where the role involves supporting the monthly close process, inventory tracking, payroll processing, and assisting with audit preparation. Responsibilities: - Support the monthly close process, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations with resolution of variances - Support inventory and work-in-process (WIP) tracking and reconciliations - Payroll processing and related reporting - Partner with project managers to support project setup and basic financial tracking - Assist with audit preparation and financial reporting activities - Participate in process improvement initiatives and system enhancements and support ad hoc projects as needed - Additional exposure to AP/AR Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in accounting - 1–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a mid-size organization - Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP - Payroll processing experience - Strong Excel skills, including use of formulas and pivot tables Preferred Qualifications: - Exposure to an ERP system - Manufacturing accounting exposure is a plus but not required Required Skills: U.S. GAAP, Payroll processing, Excel, ERP system, Manufacturing accounting Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), 401(k) with company matching, Paid time off and paid holidays, Paid parental leave, Tuition reimbursement
