Environmental Intern - DDI&R at LaBella Associates in Rochester, NY

Summary: LaBella Associates is seeking an Environmental Intern in their Due Diligence, Investigation, and Remediation (DDI&R) Group within the Environmental Division. The role involves assisting scientists, engineers, and geologists in fieldwork, preparing environmental reports, and performing data management tasks. Responsibilities: - Assist our team of scientists, engineers, and geologists in the field with environmental sample collection and monitoring (soil, water, and air) - Some travel to job sites required (typically within 1-hour of Rochester) - Assist with the preparation of environmental reports, including Phase I & II ESAs - Assist with data management and processing using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) - Various office tasks to support management with preparing deliverables to clients - Adhere to Health and Safety program - Other duties as required Required Qualifications: - Enrolled in (or recently completed) a Bachelor's degree program in environmental science, environmental engineering, geology, or closely related field - Driver's License and reliable vehicle to be able to travel to local job sites (typically within 1 hour of Rochester, NY) - Mileage is reimbursed at the standard IRS rate - Experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) - Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs over short distances - Ability to work well with a team and good analytical skills Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with GIS and/or CAD is a plus - Internship experience is a plus - 40-hour HAZWOPER/OSHA is a plus Required Skills: Environmental science, GIS, CAD Important Skills: MS Office Suite, 40-hour HAZWOPER/OSHA Nice-to-Have Skills: Analytical skills Benefits: Flexible Work Schedule, Health/Dental Insurance, 401k Plan with Employer Match, Paid Parental Leave, Short & Long Term Disability, Profit Sharing, Paid Time Off, Leadership Development Program, Fitness Reimbursement, Tuition Reimbursement, Referral Bonus Program, Wellness Program, Team Building Events, Community Service Events
