Job Description
Role & responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and accounting systems.
- Record and verify daily financial transactions.
- Prepare invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and other financial documents.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements, ledgers, and financial accounts.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Monitor expenses and ensure transactions are properly authorized and documented.
- Process payroll-related accounting entries and maintain payroll records as required.
- Assist with tax calculations, filings, audits, and statutory compliance.
- Maintain proper documentation for financial transactions and audit purposes.
- Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies or errors.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, company policies, and financial regulations.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial and employee information.
- Provide financial information and administrative support to management when required.
Preferred candidate profile
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualification such as CA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent is an advantage.
- Previous experience in accounting or finance is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
