Manager - E-Discovery at KordaMentha in Brisbane City, QLD, au

Company Description

For more than 20 years, KordaMentha has supported businesses through some of their most complex matters and opportunities. Founder owned and led; we are an advisory firm that helps corporations, financiers, lawyers, private investors and government clients to grow, protect and recover value.

That’s what we do, but it’s how we do this that makes us who we are.

Proudly independent, strategically local, and with a bias for action to get things done, we focus on doing what is right by our clients, our people, and the wider community. Our track record shows that we help navigate the best path forward in challenging times, and do so across cities, regions and territories.

In the most stressful or demanding environments, we continue to drive change where it really counts.

Job Description

Our eDiscovery practice is growing, and we're looking for an experienced Manager to join our Brisbane team.

In this role, you'll work directly with the Partners, senior leaders and industry experts on high-stakes matters. You'll get the exposure, mentoring and support to fast-track your career.

You'll be part of a collaborative national practice and play a meaningful role in helping it grow.

Accelerated career growth. Working directly with Partners and senior industry experts gives you exposure to complex matters, client strategy and decision-making that many Manager roles don't offer.

A national practice with international reach. You'll work with colleagues across Australia, New Zealand and our other service lines, with opportunities to contribute to international matters.

Use leading technology. You'll work at the cutting edge of legal technology in a firm with advanced or expedited access to innovative features and regarded for its leadership in the use of AI solutions.

A team that backs you. We have a collaborative culture where knowledge is shared openly, and no one works in isolation.

In this role you will:

• Manage the delivery of eDiscovery engagements with the Partner, from identification and preservation through to processing, review and production.
• Be a trusted day-to-day contact for clients and legal counsel, giving clear, practical advice.
• Design and run efficient eDiscovery workflows tailored to each matter.
• Supervise, coach and develop Associates and Analysts.
• Contribute to proposals, pitches and thought leadership alongside the Partner and senior team.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of eDiscovery experience in professional services, consulting, legal or litigation support, including managing engagements.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Relativity, Nuix Discover, Reveal or similar platforms, and a sound understanding of the EDRM.
• Experience managing engagement timelines, budgets and WIP.
• The ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to clients and legal teams.
