We are seeking a skilled and proactive Design Engineer to join our Port Cranes team. This role offers the opportunity to work on innovative and challenging projects in the crane industry, contributing to the design and development of material handling equipment and special-purpose machines.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze and understand project specifications and technical requirements
Create 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD, NX, and Teamcenter
Interpret engineering drawings and visualize complex mechanical systems
Ensure designs align with Konecranes standards and quality guidelines
Collaborate with team members and hand over finalized designs to lead engineers
Plan and execute design activities to meet project milestones
Maintain clear and effective communication within the team
Comply with company policies and engineering best practices
Awareness of ISO 14001 & 45001 standards
The role is based in our office in SP Infocity, Pune – but it goes without saying that the remote & hybrid working is a part of our modern ways of working.

The qualifications and experience required for the role focused on designing engineering tools:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Production Engineering from a reputable university
Minimum 3 to 5 years of design experience in:
Crane Industry
Material Handling Equipment
Special Purpose Machines
Heavy Engineering Industry
Technical Skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD, NX, and Teamcenter
Strong grasp of engineering fundamentals
Knowledge of welding, manufacturing processes, and GD&T
Ability to interpret and visualize 2D views and 3D models
Familiarity with other CAD tools is a plus
Excellent English communication skills
Team-oriented mindset and collaborative approach
