Summary: KLA is a global leader in diversified electronics for the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem. The Mechanical Design Engineer role focuses on precision mechanical design and involves setting up experimental lab work, debugging, and collaborating with vendors to fabricate parts.
Responsibilities:
- Setting up and conducting experimental lab work to validate specs and conceptual designs
- Debugging and fixing
- Design or redesign of mechanical components
- Working with vendors to fabricate parts to specifications
Required Qualifications:
- Doctorate (Academic) Degree and 0 years related work experience
- Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 3 years
- Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 5 years
- BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering
- Solid understanding in some or all of the following areas: Precision mechanical design; optical and opto-mechanical design; mechatronics
- Some knowledge in heat transfer, vibrations, fluid dynamics and manufacturing processes
- Setting up and conducting experimental lab work to validate specs and conceptual designs
- Debugging and fixing, design or redesign of mechanical components
- Working with vendors to fabricate parts to specifications
