Fullstack Engineer at Kivo Health in Seattle
Job Description
Fullstack Engineer
Location: Seattle
About Kivo
Kivo Health is a series A healthcare AI company delivering AI-powered care to seniors with chronic disease, starting with chronic lung disease (COPD). Backed by top tier investors, including YCombinator, Kivo is growing fast towards achieving its mission to help 1 billion seniors breathe easier and live better.
About the Role
Kivo Health is building a tech-enabled healthcare clinic to help real people breathe better, using innovative technology to make a lasting impact. We're YC-backed and well-funded, and looking for a fullstack engineer to join our small, high-leverage engineering team in Seattle.
You'll work alongside a diverse team of industry experts in healthcare and startup technology. Our engineering team is intentionally small and made up of generalists rather than specialists, so you'll move fluidly across dev tooling, product features, and core web app work. Our stack includes Python/Django on the backend and TypeScript, React, and React Native across web and mobile. This is an in-office, Seattle-based role.
We're hiring for multiple engineering openings across a range of experience levels. Final title and compensation will be based on your background and interview performance.
What You'll Do
Design, build, test, and ship software across our web and mobile platforms, using AI tools to work efficiently and effectively.
Build tooling that makes the whole engineering team faster and more effective.
Solve genuinely hard problems in the product.
Work on core web application features for both patients and internal users.
Continuously look for ways to improve our tools, workflows, and the product itself.
Who You Are
You've fully embraced AI to co-create software, using it not just to write code but to test it, design it, and build agents that extend what you can do.
You're a software generalist, comfortable moving between dev tooling, product features, and general web app work as the team's needs shift.
You thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven startup culture and are comfortable with ambiguity on a team that's still actively defining its own practices.
You're excited to work directly with the company founders on a small team where your work has outsized visibility and impact.
You have a strong desire to make a positive impact on people's lives, and you're motivated by the mission here specifically.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or a similar.
5+ years of experience building robust software technologies.
Experience working with AI tools.
Experience in a startup environment.
