Job Description
• Taking care and follow up of the medical problems of the chronic disease patients and performing the nursing assessment for them to provides preventive and therapeutic services to them. • Provide nursing care and first aid to the patients in a rapid timely manner respecting the priorities of the patient care. Required to be updated in her knowledge, skills and attitude
- Arranges the entry of the patients to the physician according to the serial number.
- Performs the nursing assessment and measurements required in the clinic according to patient assessment and reassessment policy and procedures of the Nursing Department.
- Perform the statistics for the treatment room and submits them to responsible department.
- Carry out therapeutic nursing procedures delegated by the physician and monitor patient's condition.
- Proper care of the injuries, burns, fractures and dressing for all wounds.
- Administer injections prescribed as well as other forms of treatment ordered by the physician.
- Participate in transfer patient if there is need.
- Participate at university event at directed by her or his supervisor
- Cover evening shift, weekend, and public holidays.
- Response to in call cover if there is need.
- Cover in assigned clinic as directed by supervisor.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient's records.
- Demonstrate an awareness of fire hazards and the necessary precautions to be taken in the event of fire.
- Evaluate care given to see if this has been effective or not and take the necessary corrective action.
- Checking on the oxygen cylinder, defibrillator, suction apparatus, emergency medical bag and all other equipment and instruments daily making sure they are in good working order.
- Checking the essential ambulance equipment daily including oxygen supply, spinal board, suction equipment and intubation set.
- Report to the nursing supervisor any immediate problems and difficulties that have been arisen during the duties.
- Responsible for maintaining the emergency room clean and protect the Perform patient from infection and accident according to infection control measures additional duties as required.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Required Qualifications:
- Must be a graduate of accredited Institute or College of Nursing.
- Must pass the nursing license examination given by the Saudi council of health specialties.
Minimum Skills:
- Must be certified in BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support certificate) on a two (2) year basis according to the guidelines of the Saudi Heart Association.
