Job Description
Summary: Kimley-Horn is looking for Planning graduates to join their Saint Paul, Minnesota office. The Environmental Planning Analyst will solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce clients’ visions for the future built environment, while also preparing environmental documents and permits under the direction of senior staff.
Responsibilities:
- Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients’ visions for the future built environment
- Develop familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn’s and our client’s practices, procedures, and standards
- Conduct appropriate technical analysis and prepare environmental documents and permits under the direction of senior staff for transit, roadway, and private development projects
- Some travel may be required (approximately 10%)
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelors or Masters Degree in relevant majors including: Environmental Science, Environmental Policy, Urban Planning, or related majors by Summer 2025
- Strong written communication skills and general knowledge of environmental science or policy topics and/or planning
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Experience with ESRI ArcGIS
- Commitment to producing high-quality work with an emphasis on attention to detail
- Ability to work with and balance priorities among multiple projects and provide clear direction to other team members
