Job Description
Summary: Kimley-Horn is looking for Electrical Engineering graduates to join their Orlando, Florida office's Power Delivery Team. The role involves pre-design and design engineering responsibilities, including the development of reports, design documents, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Coordination and verification of as-built drawings
- Perform field investigations
- Set up drawings and models for multiple disciplines
- Collaborate with team members regarding design coordination, schedules, and deliverables
- Perform feasibility studies
- Prepare schematic designs
- Responsible for the development of reports and design documents, including electrical design plans, equipment selection, solar system sizing, and power analyses
- Participate on project teams in an active production role
- Daily interaction and collaboration on cross-functional teams across multiple disciplines
- Perform energy calculations using EnergyPro or IES VE
- Develop single-line diagrams and load schedules
- Design lighting selection and controls
- Design normal, emergency, and renewable power systems
- Perform Arc Flash, Short Circuit, and Coordination Power System Studies using ETAP and/or SKM
Required Qualifications:
- An ABET accredited Electrical Engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters) by Summer 2026
