Job Summary

As the Global PM & Resource Planning Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing global customer technical project delivery, project success, and technology resource planning across regions.

You will lead and develop the Global Project Management Team while ensuring that customer projects are properly scoped, planned, resourced, and delivered successfully. You will work closely with Regional Delivery Leads, Revenue Leads, and other stakeholders to anticipate delivery requirements, align resources with business needs, and ensure the right skills and capabilities are available at the right time.

The role requires strong project leadership, resource planning, strategic thinking, and the ability to create structure and visibility across multiple projects and teams. You will also be responsible for continuously improving project management frameworks, delivery methodologies, and processes to improve efficiency, quality, and customer outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Global Project Delivery & Success

• Oversee global customer technical project delivery and ensure successful project outcomes.
• Ensure projects are properly scoped, planned, resourced, and set up for successful delivery.
• Establish clear ownership, accountability, timelines, and delivery expectations across projects.
• Monitor project performance, risks, dependencies, and resource constraints.
• Directly lead key or strategic technology projects where required.
• Ensure customer projects remain predictable, well-structured, and aligned with agreed business and customer outcomes.

Project Management Leadership

• Lead and develop the Global Project Management Team.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and support to Project Managers and Regional Delivery Leads.
• Establish clear project management standards, practices, and ways of working across regions.
• Empower Regional Delivery Leads with the frameworks, resources, and expertise required for successful project execution.
• Build and continuously develop project management capabilities across the organization.

Global Resource Planning & Capacity Management

• Own global technology resource planning, capacity, and allocation.
• Ensure the right skills and capabilities are available when required across customer projects.
• Monitor current and future resource capacity to identify potential gaps, conflicts, or constraints.
• Work with regional teams to optimize resource allocation across multiple projects and priorities.
• Anticipate future delivery requirements and proactively plan resource needs.
• Ensure resource planning is aligned with business growth, customer commitments, and project requirements.

Revenue & Delivery Alignment

• Work closely with Regional Delivery Leads and Revenue Leads to anticipate upcoming delivery requirements.
• Ensure delivery requirements are understood before customer commitments are made.
• Support early assessment of project scope, skills, timelines, capacity, and resource requirements.
• Improve collaboration and visibility between Revenue, Delivery, Project Management, and Technology teams.

Project Management Frameworks & Continuous Improvement

• Define, implement, and continuously improve global Project Management frameworks, standards, and delivery methodologies.
• Identify opportunities to improve project delivery efficiency, quality, and consistency.
• Drive continuous improvement and optimization across the customer project delivery process.
• Establish processes that improve visibility, predictability, accountability, and project outcomes.
• Ensure project knowledge, processes, and best practices are properly documented and shared across teams.

Strategic Reporting & Visibility

• Monitor and report on project performance, delivery status, risks, capacity, and resource constraints.
• Provide regular updates and insights to management regarding project delivery and resource planning.
• Maintain clear visibility of project pipelines, resource requirements, and potential delivery challenges.
• Use relevant project management and business tools to improve planning, tracking, reporting, and decision-making.

Requirements

• 5+ years of proven experience in Project Management, Technical Project Delivery, Resource Planning, or a related field.
• Proven experience leading and developing Project Management or Delivery teams.
• Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and delivery frameworks.
• Experience managing multiple projects, teams, priorities, and stakeholders simultaneously.
• Strong resource planning, capacity management, and allocation skills.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively across different regions, teams, and functions.
• Ability to handle complex projects, competing priorities, and uncertainty.
• Ability to work proactively with minimum supervision and take ownership of outcomes.
• Strong customer-focused mindset with an understanding of successful technical project delivery.

Additional

• Experience working within an IT consultancy, technology, software, or managed services environment is a strong plus.
• Experience managing global or multi-regional project delivery is preferred.
• Experience with resource planning, capacity management, or workforce allocation tools is preferred.
• Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools is preferred.
• Technical understanding of IT projects, solutions, or services is an advantage.
• Experience working closely with Sales/Revenue and Delivery teams is a plus.
