Design Intern, RTW, Summer 2026 at KHAITE in New York, NY

Summary: KHAITE is a fashion company known for its unique approach to womenswear and accessories. They are seeking a Design Intern to support their RTW Design team with various creative and administrative tasks during the summer semester. Responsibilities: - Provide design-related support for samples, sketches, research and tech-packs - Assemble & maintain sketch boards, research packets, and organize samples - Coordinate with the Design team on daily needs - Work with Design team to prepare for meetings, including pulling and organizing fabrics, prints, and samples - Research and stay up to date with industry trends and techniques related to the RTW/Wovens category and garment construction - Participate in fittings to evaluate fit and overall designs - Support the RTW/Wovens Design team throughout all stages of the design process - Assist with compiling seasonal design packets by creating CADs and helping with sketch updates Required Qualifications: - Currently enrolled for a Bachelor's Degree; preferably in Fashion Design, Apparel Production, Technical Design, or a related field - Basic knowledge of garment construction and design; with a particular interest in woven materials - Proficiency in PLM, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Excel - Highly organized with excellent attention to detail & the ability to manage multiple projects - Strong communication (written & verbal) & collaboration skills Preferred Qualifications: - Proficiency in RLM is a plus Required Skills: Fashion Design, Garment Construction, Adobe Illustrator Important Skills: Photoshop, Microsoft Excel Nice-to-Have Skills: Collaboration Skills Internship Start Date: Start in 2026 Summer
