About Keye

Keye is a Y-Combinator (YC F24) and venture-backed startup focused on speeding up the due diligence process in private market mergers and acquisitions with AI.

Our platform analyzes data rooms in dealmaking using advanced data and machine learning techniques and gives investors 80% of the deal in under 5 minutes, a process that otherwise takes weeks! The output is an interactive diligence report to help funds say no to a deal much earlier and save millions on third-party diligence costs.

When firms use Keye to analyze deals, they’re tapping into a wealth of diligence knowledge and best practices that are baked into our proprietary analysis engine from over a decade of investor experience. With rapid deal analysis, firms can easily decide which deals are worth spending time on and then rapidly move forward on the best ones.

We are a group of investors and engineers (Ex-Tesla, Goldman Sachs, Vista Equity Partners, McKinsey, multitude of startups). Our founding team has been part of 4 successful acquisitions as early employees, has over 20 total years of experience in M&A investing, and have been previous founders. Our technical expertise stems from specialized industries such as AI robotics, AI drug discovery, and AI-driven ecommerce advertising.

Keye is generating revenue and has grown 600% in the past 6 months and an oversubscribed seed funding round. We also have a long waitlist for early access users, and are already working with quite a few megafunds. You’ll play a key role on the team, helping launch and ship features daily for users to test and provide feedback on.

Role: Overview

As a core member of our early team, you’ll partner directly with our CTO to shape Keye’s product, mentor our frontend squad, and ship daily improvements to real users. This is a true full-stack opportunity (70 % frontend, 30 % backend) where you’ll own end-to-end features—from interactive UI components to CI/CD pipelines to scalable API integration. You’ll help integrate cutting-edge AI services into a polished, performant Next.js application.

What You’ll Do

• Design & Build: Architect and implement responsive, accessible, and high-performance frontend systems with Next.js, React, and TypeScript.

• Full-Stack Collaboration: Contribute backend endpoints in FastAPI (Python) and integrate them seamlessly with your UI work. This also involves working closely with product and design to create the best experiences for our clients.

• CI/CD & DevOps: Optimize our frontend CI/CD pipelines, monitor deployments on AWS, and ensure observability and reliability.

• AI Integration: Embed RAG workflows, structured LLM outputs, and real-time data analytics into the user experience.

• Mentorship & Best Practices: Guide and grow our junior/mid-level frontend engineers, enforce design-system standards, and establish scalable component architectures.

• Product Strategy: Shape feature roadmaps, API schemas, and system limitations in partnership with the CPO and CTO, always with our customers’ needs front and center.

What You’ll Bring

• 3+ years of production-grade frontend development, with a solid portfolio or compelling personal projects.

• Expertise in Next.js, React, and TypeScript.

• Keen eye for design and strong posture for testing/QA, automating where possible.

• Hands-on experience building or integrating AI applications (RAG, AI agents, retrieval services).

• Familiarity with FastAPI, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

• Strong DevOps sensibility: comfortable optimizing CI/CD, observability, and performance.

• Excellent communication skills and a knack for mentorship in a collaborative startup environment.

• A passion for staying ahead of AI and web-tech trends.

Nice to Have

• Experience with PostgreSQL, pgvector, data warehouses/lakes, or Retool.

• Background in fintech or deal-workflow products.

• Proficiency with ML frameworks like PyTorch, Hugging Face, LangChain, or LlamaIndex.

• Testing frameworks (Jest, Pytest), data pipelines (Dagster), message queues (Celery, Redis), or CI tools (CircleCI).

• Prior founder or early-stage startup experience.

Why Join Us?

• Novelty and Trailblazing: We aren’t building another CRUD app, or a GPT wrapper. We’re a team of researchers, engineers, and domain experts who are building a new generation of technology for the finance industry. What you learn here has never been done or applied in this industry before (and all of our customers are saying the same thing).

• Impact & Ownership: As a early software engineer, you will have a significant impact on the direction of our product and company. You will own key features and see the direct impact of your work.

• Innovative Culture: Be part of a team that values creativity, autonomy, and staying ahead of the curve in the latest AI advancements.

• Competitive Compensation: We offer a competitive salary, equity, and benefits package that reflects your value to our team.
