Summary: KeyBank is a financial services company seeking an IT Associate Business Analyst to contribute to a cross-functional team in optimizing application capabilities and business processes. This role will provide business analysis and project support for the development and enhancement of business lines. Responsibilities: - Define requirements for new application features and enhancements that are consistent with strategic priorities - Participates in the design process to ensure it supports business requirements and an optimized user experience - Capture requirements for a low complexity system or module; understands the SDLC and its impact on deliverables - Translate business requirements into technical requirements and convey with appropriate level of detail to the development team - Build expertise in specific business processes that support business objectives - Support and/or participate in user acceptance testing to ensure quality in application releases and user experience - Understands security, risk management, and IT process principles and escalate to appropriate team(s) as needed - Performs other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice - Complies with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including without limitation, acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key’s clients and Key Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience - Basic understanding and insight into evaluating current product quality and production methods and ability to maintain focus on the continuous improvement of processes, products and services - Working knowledge of major production application systems used for delivery of services to internal and external clients; ability to leverage major production application systems in diverse situations - Basic understanding of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions - Basic understanding of the importance of inter-team collaboration in breaking down silos and achieving business results; ability to lead employees from various functions to communicate, coordinate work across divisions, and collaborate in solving problems as one team - Working knowledge of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors - Basic understanding of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization - Basic understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision - Basic understanding of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems - Working knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project - Basic understanding of the activities, tasks, deliverables and techniques for documenting current business processes; ability to identify problems, opportunities, and re-engineering processes for improvement - Basic understanding of business data analysis; ability to collect, identify, analyze and interpret business data using various kinds of techniques to meet business needs and requirements - Working knowledge of and experience with the business aspects and operation of a software product; ability to manage install base, current uses, future plans, and product vision - Basic understanding of major tasks, deliverables, and formal application delivery methodologies; ability to utilize these in order to deliver new or enhanced applications Required Skills: Business Analysis, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Requirements Analysis, User Acceptance Testing, Business Process Documentation, Business Data Analysis, Application Delivery Methodologies Benefits: Eligibility for incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives, Flexible options for roles which are less dependent on assigned workspaces and can be performed effectively in a mobile environment, May work either at a home office or in a Key facility to perform your job duties, Position in the future may work partially from a Key facility, Team will consider remote workers, Please click here for a list of benefits for which this position is eligible
