Summary: KeyBank is a financial services company seeking a Business Analytics Associate. The role involves supporting data analysis to inform business decisions, creating basic insights, and assisting in diagnostic projects under supervision. Responsibilities: - Pull basic data and provide reoccurring reporting and ad hoc requests - Create simple analysis to support the production of insights into relevant business questions under general direction / supervision - Develop basic visualizations and PowerPoint presentations - Provide input with addressing basic business/analytical problems and challenges - Performs other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice - Complies with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including without limitation, acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key’s clients and Key Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Data Sciences, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Mathematics or equivalent work experience in analytics or similar industry experience - Minimum 1 year experience in demonstrating practical data application - Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, data visualization and data mining techniques - Beginner-intermediate database querying skill - Exposure to data integration - Familiar with and capacity for analytical programming - Developing written and verbal skills; beginning to develop ability to organize information in clear, consistent format; Capacity to develop ability to articulate a clear, well-thought-out message and formal delivery; Minimal skills in creating PowerPoint presentations - Able to work independently under general direction / supervision - Developing ability to build relationships, partner, and influence - Developing basic understanding of business partner strategy; Building financial acumen - Developing critical thinking skills; Can analyze simple issues with low complexity; Can give perspective to the team addressing basic business/analytical problems and challenges; Recognizes need to escalate issues in a timely manner Preferred Qualifications: - 1 years experience in an analytics program or function - Experience in banking/ financial services industry with a basic understanding of key drivers of financial results Required Skills: Data mining, Data visualization, Database querying, Analytical programming, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Financial acumen, Banking/financial services industry knowledge
