What you will do
Job Summary
We are seeking aFinance Data Lead – Data Qualitywith strongfunctionalexpertisein finance data and master data, combined withworking knowledge of data and reporting tools. This role willbe responsible forowning,monitoring, and improving the quality of finance master and transactional data, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and fitness for reporting and regulatory needs.
The ideal candidate brings deep understanding of finance processes (FI, CO, COPAreporting), experience indata quality management and issue resolution, and the ability touse tools such as SQL and Power BI toanalyze,validate, andmonitordata. This is abusiness‑drivendata role, not a pure engineering role.
Key Responsibilities
Act as theFinance Data Quality lead, owning data quality across finance master data and key transactional datasets.
Define,monitor, and managedata quality rules, checks, and controlsfor finance data (accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness).
Partner with finance and accounting teams to understandbusiness processes, reporting needs, and data issues.
Analyzedata usingSQLand other query tools toidentifydata defects, trends, and root causes.
Design andmaintainPower BI dashboards and reportsto track data quality metrics, issue status, and remediation progress.
Work closely withMaster Data Management, Data Governance, Regional Finance Serviceteams to ensure alignment of finance master data across systems.
Supportissue intake, defect tracking, prioritization, and resolutionof data quality issues, working with upstream and downstream teams.
Performreconciliations and validationbetween source systems,Reporting systems, and financial reports.
Documentdata quality standards, definitions, controls, and issue resolution processes.
Identifyopportunities toimprove controls, reduce recurring issues, and strengthen governancearound finance data.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree inFinance, Accounting, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.
5+ years of experiencein finance data, financial reporting, data quality, or data governance roles.
Strong understanding offinance data domainssuch asFI, CO, COPA,master data, and financial reporting.
Hands‑onexperience withdata quality management, data validation, reconciliations, and issue resolution.
Working knowledge ofSQLtoanalyzeand troubleshoot data issues.
Experience usingPower BI(or similar BI tools) to build or interpret dashboards and reports.
Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and data accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work withcross‑functionalstakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience inMaster Data Managementor finance data governance initiatives.
Understanding of finance concepts such asP&L, Balance Sheet, CostCenter, and Legal Entity structures.
Exposure to tools such asKNIME, Snowflake, Databricks, or similar platforms (functional usage; deep engineering notrequired).
Experience supportingaudit, controls, orSOX‑relateddata activities.
Experience working inglobal orcross‑functionalteams.
Soft Skills
Strongcommunicationand stakeholder managementskills.
Ability to translatebusiness data issues into clear actions and requirements.
Proactive,ownership‑drivenmindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
Comfortable working as abridge between finance, data, and technology teams.
