Job Description
Summary: Kroll Bond Rating Agency (KBRA) is seeking an Analyst to join its Financial Institution's Group. This position offers the opportunity to grow as a ratings and financial institutions research professional, focusing on financial statement analysis and producing research reports.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to develop specialized analytical skills in terms of financial statement analysis including ratio analysis for a variety of financial sectors
- Demonstrated attention to detail skills and willingness to see that tasks are followed through to completion
- Play a key role in the production of standardized research and ad hoc reports including extensive use of Excel for data population and manipulation for use in published analytical reports
- Willingness to collaborate with analysts in disparate locations and learn new skills
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field (with a preference for at least 12 semester hours or four courses in accounting if not an accounting major)
- Strong interest and/or relevant work experience in credit or financial analysis and/or accounting
- Strong proficiency with Excel including Macros, VLOOKUP's, and Pivot Tables
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills with an ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to develop specialized analytical skills in terms of financial statement analysis including ratio analysis for a variety of financial sectors
- Demonstrated attention to detail skills and willingness to see that tasks are followed through to completion
- Play a key role in the production of standardized research and ad hoc reports including extensive use of Excel for data population and manipulation for use in published analytical reports

Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Generative AI tools such as ChatGPT for research, data insights, and general productivity
Required Skills: Financial statement analysis, Excel proficiency
Important Skills: Credit analysis experience, Accounting knowledge
Nice-to-Have Skills: Generative AI familiarity
