Job Description
Summary: KBRA (Kroll Bond Rating Agency, LLC) is seeking an Analyst/Senior Analyst to join their growing Corporate Portfolio Finance (CPF) team in the New York office. The role primarily focuses on analyzing portfolios of middle market corporate loans and supporting fund debt transactions, with responsibilities including reviewing transaction structures and maintaining financial models.
Responsibilities:
- Support the analysis of portfolios of middle market corporate loans, including senior secured direct lending exposures
- Assist in reviewing transaction structures, including collateral composition, capital structure, and key structural protections
- Maintain and utilize financial models to analyze collateral performance, cash flow coverage, and basic stress scenarios
- Contribute to the preparation of internal credit memoranda and rating committee materials
- Assist in monitoring rated transactions, including tracking portfolio metrics, covenant compliance, and concentration limits
- Maintain transaction data, spreadsheets, and analytical tools
- Participate in internal discussions and, when appropriate, external due diligence calls with transaction counterparties
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics or Math related fields
- One (1) to three (3) years of work experience in corporate credit analysis, private credit, direct lending, fund investing, CLO analysis, or structured finance
- Strong interest in middle market lending and private credit markets
- Basic understanding of corporate loan structures, capital structures, and credit analysis
- Proficiency in Excel; experience with financial modeling and cash flow analysis preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage time and resources in fast-growing company
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with financial modeling and cash flow analysis preferred
- Familiarity with Generative AI tools such as ChatGPT for research, data insights, and general productivity is a plus
