Job Description
Summary: Kayne Anderson Rudnick is a well-respected wealth and asset management firm headquartered in Los Angeles. They are seeking a highly motivated ESG Intern to join their Investment team, where the intern will assist in integrating ESG factors into the investment process and gain exposure to various aspects of the Financial Services industry.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting company-level ESG analysis to augment our existing investment process
- Assisting in the development of internally generated ESG scores based on financially material sustainability risks and opportunities
- Monitoring and ensuring compliance with ESG regulations and standards across all investment activities
- Creating reporting and portfolio assessments utilizing ESG management software for all products and producing ongoing reports that incorporate various data including ESG ratings and specific reporting disclosures
- Identifying positive impact externalities within the Impact-Aligned strategy and creating company-level impact reports identifying these themes
Required Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree (rising junior or senior preferred)
- An understanding of asset management industry and an interest in sustainability
- Self-starter with strong analytical and writing skills
- Knowledge of financial markets with a preferred focus on equities
- Clear, eloquent communicator with an ability to collaborate effectively and interact at all levels of an organization
- A detail-oriented individual who is highly organized with the ability to synthesize large amounts of data effectively
- Ability to engage in both quantitative analysis and qualitative due diligence
- Familiarity with financial statements and other company reported disclosures
- Experience with the full Microsoft Office Suite of products
