Job Description
Summary: Kargo is a company focused on creating powerful connections between brands and consumers through innovative advertising solutions. They are seeking an intern for Product Management to work on high-impact initiatives related to AI workflows, creative performance intelligence, and platform simplification during a 10-week summer internship program.
Responsibilities:
- Audit a current internal workflow (RFP response, campaign setup, reporting, etc.)
- Identify friction + automation opportunities
- Prototype an AI-powered solution using modern tooling (LLMs, agents, internal APIs)
- Validate with 5–10 users
- Ship a v1 or structured recommendation
- Analyze performance data to identify patterns across formats or verticals
- Build a lightweight scoring or insight framework
- Partner with engineering to test a surfaced insight inside the platform
- Map an existing user journey across systems
- Identify redundant steps or system fragmentation
- Propose and validate a simplified, unified experience
- Create PRD + clickable prototype
- Identify one repetitive manual process
- Quantify time wasted
- Build or prototype an automation (using AI or scripting)
- Measure time saved
- Write product briefs and PRDs and workable prototypes
- Define success metrics
- Partner with engineers
- Present progress to leadership
- Ship something tangible by the end of the summer
Required Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree (Business, CS, Engineering, Data, Design, or related field)
- Strong analytical thinking and business intuition
- Comfortable reading technical documentation and discussing APIs, data flows, and system constraints
- Hands-on experience with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, coding copilots, agent frameworks, etc.)
- Experience building something: app, model, automation, startup project, hackathon prototype, etc
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- You've shipped something users actually used
- You've built automations with Python, SQL, or no-code tools
- You've experimented with LLM prompting, fine-tuning, or agent workflows
- You understand digital advertising, marketplaces, or platform economics
- You can turn messy problems into structured thinking quickly
