Job Summary

Joga Ram General Trading L.L.C. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support the day-to-day accounting operations across multiple business entities. The ideal candidate should have 1–3 years of accounting experience, a solid grasp of basic accounting principles, and the willingness to learn in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment. The candidate will work closely with the Senior Accountant and Finance team to maintain accurate financial records and support month-end activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day accounting activities for multiple group entities.
• Record and maintain accurate books of accounts under supervision of the Senior Accountant.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
• Assist in preparing financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Perform bank reconciliations, supplier and customer account reconciliations, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processing, including invoice booking and payment follow-ups.
• Process routine journal entries, accruals, and prepayments under guidance.
• Maintain fixed asset records and assist with fixed asset accounting.
• Assist with UAE VAT return preparation and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing and organizing required documentation.
• Assist in budget preparation and variance analysis under supervision.
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of accounting transactions and supporting documents.
• Support payroll-related accounting entries as required.
• Coordinate with banks, suppliers, and customers on routine finance-related matters.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records.
• Perform other finance and accounting duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
• Part-qualified or pursuing CA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience; exposure to multiple legal entities or group companies is a plus.
• Experience in the trading, manufacturing, or contracting industry is preferred.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Basic knowledge of UAE VAT regulations.
• Exposure to month-end closing processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, basic formulas, data entry).
• Familiarity with ERP/accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Tally, Zoho Books, Odoo, or similar systems is an advantage.
• Good analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Good communication skills in English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Ability to manage tasks and meet deadlines under supervision.
