Job Description
KYC Associate QC LATAM supporting Commercial Banking (NA), completing quality control reviews of client onboarding and lifecycle KYC due diligence in line with AML/KYC standards and partnering with Legal, Compliance, and Global Client Onboarding teams.
You are a KYC Associate in the Quality Control team supporting Commercial Banking (NA) from LATAM, responsible for performing quality control reviews of new and existing client onboarding and lifecycle profiles to ensure due diligence is complete and consistent with AML/KYC standards and internal procedures. You report to a KYC Associate or KYC Manager and partner with teams including Legal, Compliance, Internal Controls, Technology, Client Services, and Global Client Onboarding to identify and mitigate risk, resolve issues, and support timely completion of reviews. The team operates in a hybrid model (three days in office, two days from home) and is expected to return to full-time office in 2026 (company directed).
Job Responsibilities
- You will review client profiles end-to-end across the lifecycle, validating consistency against legal and commercial documentation to understand client activity, structure, and associated risks.
- You will execute AML policies and internal procedures in line with local and global principles, escalating exceptions as required.
- You will identify risk indicators and apply controls to help prevent fraudulent account behavior and potential fraud exposure.
- You will resolve issues by identifying underlying problems and patterns, escalating complex matters to meet service timelines.
- You will partner with Legal, Compliance, Internal Controls, Technology, Client Services, and Global Client Onboarding teams to drive timely outcomes and reduce rework.
- You will manage daily priorities to maximize productivity, including queue management, while meeting individual productivity and quality metrics.
- You will respond to process-related queries, maintaining a professional presence with extended teams and stakeholders.
- You will follow established policies, procedures, and practices, building working knowledge of systems, products, services, and processes over time.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills.
- Fluent English (written and verbal).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High organizational skills with strong time management, prioritization, and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and assimilate new industry, company, product, and technical knowledge.
- Strong problem-solving skills, including ability to identify patterns and root causes.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines with a sense of urgency.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks in a fast-changing environment.
- Proficient PC skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- College degree or equivalent work experience.
- 1–3 years of experience in customer service, operations, sales, or portfolio management, preferably in banking or financial services.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills.
- Experience with AML/KYC and/or Investment Banking.
- Knowledge of tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, BI, and UiPath.
