Job Summary
The Associate will support the Council’s media and communications team in creating engaging visual and multimedia content that effectively communicates the Council’s activities, programmes, and initiatives. The role will involve supporting photography and videography, audio production, video editing, graphic design, and content creation for the Council’s various communication channels.
The ideal candidate should be creative, technically proficient, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced media environment while maintaining high-quality and professional standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning and execution of the Council’s media and multimedia activities, including events, programmes, meetings, and official engagements.
- Operate cameras and audio equipment for photography, videography, interviews, events, and other media productions.
- Record and organise high-quality video and audio content for use across the Council’s communication platforms.
- Edit video footage into engaging and professional content suitable for social media, websites, presentations, and other platforms.
- Design graphics, posters, flyers, banners, social media creatives, and other visual communication materials.
- Create engaging multimedia content that highlights the Council’s activities, achievements, programmes, and impact.
- Support the development of social media content, including short-form videos, graphics, photographs, captions, and other digital materials.
- Assist with the documentation of official events and activities through photography and videography.
- Maintain and organise media files, including photographs, videos, audio recordings, graphics, and other digital assets.
- Collaborate with the communications and programme teams to develop creative content aligned with the Council’s communication objectives and brand guidelines.
- Support the production of promotional and informational materials for campaigns, programmes, events, and public engagements.
- Stay informed about emerging trends in digital media, content creation, graphic design, and social media and recommend creative approaches where appropriate.
- Ensure all media content produced is accurate, professional, visually appealing, and consistent with the Council’s brand and communication standards.
- Perform other media and communications-related duties as may be assigned.
