Operations Supervisor at Jiffy in Jersey City, NJ

Operations Supervisor

We're Jiffy! We launched over a decade ago with a simple mission: use technology to combine an unparalleled level of customer service with the fastest delivery in the blank apparel, direct-to-film transfer, and custom apparel industry. We're more than a T-shirt company. We're a support system for the creator economy, the home hobbyist, the small business owner, and more. Today, we help millions of small businesses and customers build their vision from scratch. We're bootstrapped and profitable, with no VC playbook and no burn-rate math, so every order that leaves our building on time is part of how we earn the right to grow.

As our Warehouse Operations Supervisor, you'll run the floor. You'll lead a team of 15–20 warehouse associates across receiving, putaway, pick/pack, and shipping in a lean, fast-moving environment. You own the shift: who's working where, what has to be executed on, and what's blocking it. You'll be on the floor with your team, not behind a desk. If a truck is late, a count is off, or a station is behind, you're the one who sees it first and fixes it.

What you'll do

• Lead the team: Supervise, schedule, and direct 15–20 hourly associates. Run daily start-of-shift huddles, assign stations, and adjust staffing in real time as volume shifts between inbound and outbound.
• Own inbound: Oversee receiving and putaway. Check shipments against purchase orders, flag shortages and damages, and get product dock-to-stock the same day.
• Own outbound: Make sure every order is picked, packed, and shipped accurately and on time, and that carrier cutoffs are met every day.
• Protect inventory accuracy: Run cycle counts, investigate variances to root cause, and make sure transactions are recorded correctly the same day.
• Run the numbers: Track and report on shift performance: units per hour, order accuracy, on-time ship rate, dock-to-stock time, and inventory accuracy. Know where your team stands every day, and know why.
• Keep it safe and clean: Enforce safety procedures and housekeeping standards. Lead by example on PPE, equipment use, and safe lifting. Report and investigate incidents.
• Develop your people: Train new associates, give direct day-to-day feedback, recognize strong performers, and address attendance and performance issues quickly and fairly.
• Improve the process: Spot bottlenecks on the floor, such as layout, slotting, or workflow, and bring practical fixes to your manager. Help move manual processes onto better tools and systems as we scale.
