Building Maintenance Mechanic The Jefferson County Buildings and Grounds Department is currently seeking applications for Building Maintenance Mechanic. The position is 40 hours per week and on the day shift. Salary Range: $21.63 - $26.01 per hour. Benefits: NYS Retirement. Deferred Compensation. Sick Leave. Paid Vacation. Tuition Reimbursement. Minimum Qualifications: (A) Three years of experience in general building construction, maintenance or repair in one or more of the standard trades such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, masonry, etc.; OR. (B) Six years of experience assisting in general building construction, maintenance or repair in one or more of the standard trades such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, masonry, etc.; OR. (C) An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B) above. Special Requirement: Appointees will be required to possess a valid license to operate a motor vehicle in New York State or otherwise demonstrate their ability to meet transportation needs of the job.
