Job Description
Summary: JD.com, also known as JINGDONG, is a trusted technology and supply chain ecosystem serving over 700 million customers. The Warehouse Operations Intern will support daily warehouse operations, working closely with Team Leaders and Operations Managers to meet productivity, quality, safety, and service level goals while gaining hands-on leadership exposure in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily inbound, outbound, picking, packing, and shipping operations
- Monitor workflow and help balance labor across work areas
- Track productivity, accuracy, and SLA performance
- Escalate operational issues (labor gaps, system issues, delays) to Team Leaders or Managers
- Promote a safe work environment and ensure SOPs are followed
- Report safety concerns, near misses, and incidents promptly
- Support warehouse audits and compliance checks
- Identify process inefficiencies and suggest improvements
- Assist with basic data tracking (volume, productivity, error rates)
- Participate in process improvement projects and pilot initiatives
- Help communicate daily goals, priorities, and process changes to associates
- Assist with onboarding and training of new warehouse associates
- Act as a point of contact for associates when Team Leaders are unavailable
- Support Team Leaders in coaching associates on standard work and safety practices
Required Qualifications:
- Native Chinese speakers preferred
- Graduating in 2025 and 2026; currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Business, or related field
- Strong analytical skills and proficient in Excel
- Clear logical thinking, strong sense of responsibility, and excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Strong interest in supply chain and e-commerce industries, with a willingness to grow in a fast-paced and challenging environment
