Job Summary:
The Account Manager is responsible for driving high levels of customer satisfaction and achieving sales targets for stand‑alone machines, with the potential to support sales of more complex systems in collaboration with the Industry Sales Manager and Product Specialists. Acting as a trusted advisor, the Account Manager manages and nurtures customer relationships, proactively identifying opportunities and delivering value‑adding solutions that enhance uptime, performance, reliability, and total cost of ownership. The role requires strong commercial focus, frequent customer interaction, and the ability to translate customer insights into actionable recommendations.
Job Responsibilities
Customer Relationship & Business Management
Serve as the customer advocate and trusted advisor within the focus market.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships through frequent visits and effective communication.
Draw up tactical and operational plans for assigned customers.
Monitor customer satisfaction and execute appropriate actions to enhance the customer experience.
Manage escalations effectively and ensure timely resolution.
Maintain a strong customer focus to support organizational goals related to growth, sales, profitability, and service quality.
Sales & Opportunity Management
Achieve agreed financial targets through proactive sales of stand‑alone machines.
Analyze customer performance, needs, and opportunities, translating insights into solution proposals.
Manage and maintain an up‑to‑date sales pipeline, including opportunity status and follow‑up activities.
Collaborate closely with regional sales front office and sales back office to enhance customer satisfaction and business outcomes.
Facilitate strong relationships with industry and product experts, driving cross‑border synergies.
Support the development of regional operational plans.
Data & Market Analysis
Analyze customer data, technical market trends, and competitor insights to provide valuable feedback to the service organization and relevant internal stakeholders.
Provide performance analysis, knowledge, and recommendations aligned with customer expectations for reliability, uptime, and cost of ownership.
General
Travel frequently within the region and internationally, as required.
Perform other duties as assigned to support business needs.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
Recognized training in sales and/or account management.
Minimum 5 years of experience in selling services or capital equipment, preferably within the relevant industry.
Excellent command of written and spoken English.
Experience working in a multicultural, multidisciplinary environment is an advantage.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers and internal teams.
Solid understanding of systematic maintenance principles and value‑adding service solutions.
Ability to build long‑term client relationships.
Understanding of customer experience metrics and ability to translate insights into organizational feedback and action.
Self‑motivated, customer‑focused, and able to manage time effectively.
Analytical, organized, goal‑oriented, and results‑driven.
