JOB SUMMARY:

The Hydrovac Swamper reports to Hydrovac Operator to support the function and operation of Tornado Hydrovac for JATEC projects.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES:

• Availability to work 5 - 6 days a week, 8 - 10 hours a day, depending on job requirements.
• Assist hydrovac operator with hydrovacing underground utilities
• Perform physically demanding construction labour work.
• Working with Hand tools and power equipment
• Able to work in various climatic conditions and work effectively
• Strong sense of urgency and commitment to assigned work
• Practice safe operating procedures and follows Company Policies and Standards
• Other duties as assigned and required for JATEC’s operations and personal development

REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license required.
• Must have reliable vehicle.
• Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
• Must be willing to pass pre-access drug and alcohol screening for clients.
• Be able to stand, kneel, crouch, bend and walk.
• Outdoor Construction background or telecommunication experience is an asset
• Experience as an Equipment operator for a mini excavator and skid steer an asset
