Instruments & Controls CAD Intern at Jacobs in Corvallis, OR

Summary: Jacobs is a company focused on solving critical problems for cities and environments. They are seeking a CAD/Drafting Intern to support their Instruments & Controls design team, providing hands-on drafting experience while the intern completes their education.

Responsibilities:
- Support designers and engineers by producing 2D drawings and documentation
- Learn industry CAD tools
- Work on real-world projects in a professional design environment

Required Qualifications:
- Must be currently enrolled in secondary education courses and working towards a degree in CAD
- CAD application understanding preferred in MS and ACAD but will help teach on the job
- Must be willing to work in the Corvallis office a minimum of 16-20 hours a week on average while finishing school
- Must live within commutable distance from Corvallis office

Preferred Qualifications:
- CAD application understanding preferred in Micro Station and ACAD but will help teach our 3D modeling platforms on job
- Focused and concise verbal and written communication
- Strong time management skills and experience
- Reliable, focused, and detail-oriented
- Excels under pressure and can maintain a calm demeanor at all times
