The Summer Intern - Legal role involves assisting attorneys with legal research, document organization, and supporting the contract review process among other responsibilities. Responsibilities: - Assist attorneys with legal research, analysis, and preparation of memoranda on a variety of legal issues, including commercial contracts, intellectual property, compliance, and corporate governance - Review, organize, and maintain legal documents, agreements, and corporate records - Support the contract review process by assisting with initial document review and redlining under attorney supervision - Participate in internal meetings with legal team members and other departments to understand business needs and legal implications - Assist in the preparation of presentations, reports, and other legal department communications - Help manage and organize legal department resources and databases - Conduct factual investigations and gather information relevant to ongoing legal matters - Perform administrative tasks as needed to support the efficient operation of the legal department Required Qualifications: - Strong academic record - Excellent legal research and writing skills - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Preferred Qualifications: - Demonstrated interest in corporate law, international business, or manufacturing industries is a plus Required Skills: Legal research, Legal writing Important Skills: Microsoft Office Suite Nice-to-Have Skills: Interest in corporate law
