Job Description

Cavendish Farms Potato Storage in Pooles Corner, PE is looking for Laborers from June until mid-October. The exact start date and period of work will be dependent on weather and business needs.

Work location – Pooles Corner, PE

Wage - $20.26 per hour + OT after 48 hrs & Sundays

Work Schedule: Working for a farming operation, workers must be available to work up to 12 hours a day, including some weekends.

Responsibilities

Loading out potatoes from storage for delivery to fry plant, includes operating equipment (forklift, potato scoop, piler)
Prepping storage for upcoming storage season (cleaning and staging)
Receiving potatoes during fall harvest (equipment operators, quality control, labourers)
All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Safety and Quality focused
Physically fit to stand for extended period of time
High level of attention to detail
Ability to work in close proximity to moving harvest equipment
Farm experience is an asset
Previous experience in heavy equipment operation is an asset
Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
