QA Analyst, UI and Front End at IXL Learning in San Mateo, CA

Summary: IXL Learning is the country's largest EdTech company, seeking a QA Analyst focused on UI and front end testing. The role involves ensuring quality on front-end web applications, developing test plans, and collaborating with product managers and engineers to execute testing strategies. Responsibilities: - Ensure quality on our front-end web applications with a strong focus on UI testing - Review business requirements and develop test plans, test cases, test estimations, and test execution reports - Perform functionality, regression, integration, UI, smoke, exploratory, stress and performance testing - Manage all communications related to QA status on a daily basis and report potential risks during all stages of development lifecycle - Work closely with development and product teams to resolve any issues that arise out of the testing process - Analyze test results and facilitate resolution of issues - Iterate on existing testing processes and standards to improve efficiency and accuracy Required Qualifications: - BA/BS degree required - Experience in QA of front end elements, web design, UI, and UX - Ability to work both independently and on a wide variety of teams - Passion for making bullet-proof applications and improving education through technology - Self-motivated, detail oriented, proactive and collaborative - Excellent written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications: - Knowledge of JIRA, Unix, SQL, JavaScript, CSS, source control, and mobile device development is a plus Required Skills: UI testing, front end testing Important Skills: JIRA, SQL, JavaScript, CSS Nice-to-Have Skills: self-motivated Benefits: Benefits
