Associate QA Analyst at IXL Learning in San Mateo, CA

Summary: IXL Learning is a leading EdTech company seeking an Associate QA Analyst focused on UI and front end testing. In this role, you will develop and execute test strategies, ensure quality on web applications, and collaborate closely with product managers and engineers. Responsibilities: - Ensure quality on our front-end web applications with a strong focus on UI testing - Review business requirements and develop test plans, test cases, test estimations, and test execution reports - Perform functionality, regression, integration, UI, smoke, exploratory, stress and performance testing - Manage all communications related to QA status on a daily basis and report potential risks during all stages of development lifecycle - Work closely with development and product teams to resolve any issues that arise out of the testing process - Analyze test results and facilitate resolution of issues - Iterate on existing testing processes and standards to improve efficiency and accuracy Required Qualifications: - BA/BS degree required - Ability to work both independently and on a wide variety of teams - Passion for making bullet-proof applications and improving education through technology - Self-motivated, detail oriented, proactive and collaborative - Excellent written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications: - Knowledge of JIRA, Unix, SQL, JavaScript, CSS, source control, and mobile device development is a plus Required Skills: UI testing, test plans, test execution Important Skills: JIRA, SQL, JavaScript, CSS Nice-to-Have Skills: communication skills, collaborative, detail oriented, self-motivated Benefits: Benefits
