Job Summary

This role will initially support engineers with CAD drawing detailing, bill of materials (BOM) generation, and shop floor control. It offers hands-on experience working in a collaborative team environment, gaining exposure to shop floor operations, enhancing CAD modeling skills, and developing a broad understanding of multiple engineering disciplines and areas of expertise.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects as they move forward

• Design for manufacture a variety of systems and products based on customers’ needs

• Prep shop machines for shop floor manufacturing

• Ensure products are within proper tolerance

• Work with a small company to manage workflow

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering (required)

• At least 1-2 years of experience in CAD modeling (required), preferably using Autodesk Inventor

• At least 1 year of experience using Microsoft 365, particularly Word and Excel (required)

• General knowledge of the Mechanical Engineering curriculum, particularly in Mechanics of Materials, Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and some dynamics (preferred)

• Knowledge of welding symbols, weld notations, machining tolerances, and engineering drawing standards (preferred)

• Experience with MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems (preferred)
