Job Description
Summary: iSoftStone, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Team! The role involves designing and developing scalable data processing workflows and integration solutions while supporting large-scale data systems to ensure performance and reliability.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop scalable data processing workflows and integration solutions
- Build and maintain backend components for data ingestion, transformation, and storage
- Support large-scale and distributed data systems to ensure performance and reliability
- Develop and optimize database structures, queries, and data models
- Implement system integrations using APIs and data synchronization mechanisms
- Assist with deployment and configuration of data services in structured development environments
- Monitor system performance and participate in troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Support testing, debugging, and continuous improvement of data-driven applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions
- Document system designs, workflows, and technical processes
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 1–3 years of experience in software development or data engineering
- Experience developing data processing workflows or ETL pipelines
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, or similar)
- Strong SQL skills and familiarity with relational databases
- Basic understanding of distributed systems or large-scale data processing concepts
- Familiarity with APIs, webhooks, and system integrations
- Exposure to version control tools (e.g., Git)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with big data or distributed data processing frameworks
- Exposure to containerized or cloud-based environments
- Familiarity with system monitoring or performance optimization
- Understanding of CI/CD or DevOps concepts
- Experience supporting analytics or reporting systems
