Come build with us. Together, we’re changing how the world works.

As a Senior Backend Engineer at Island, you’ll work on the core of our enterprise browser platform — building scalable, high-performance features that power the modern enterprise. You’ll collaborate closely with product and design teams to craft intuitive user experiences while tackling complex engineering challenges on both frontend and backend systems.

This role is about pushing boundaries: streamlining workflows, enhancing productivity, and redefining what’s possible inside the browser.

This might be for you if:

• You live and breathe code
• You’re passionate about creating exceptional user experiences
• You’re proactive, curious, and eager to help shape the future
• You love solving complex technical challenges at scale

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Strong skills in both modern frontend and backend technologies
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments

We’ve built antivirus systems, browser isolation, DLPs, proxies, and more — serving millions. But this is more than just a new product. It’s a new chapter in enterprise work. Bigger, bolder, and more impactful than anything we’ve built before.

Send us your story (or your CV).

We’d love to meet you.
