Senior Production Engineer at Isgec Heavy Engineering in Yamunanagar

Job Description

ISGEC TITAN is looking for a competent Production Engineer for its Yamunanagar manufacturing facility. The role involves managing and executing production activities related to the fabrication of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, reactors, columns and other corrosion-resistant process equipment, ensuring quality, productivity, safety and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and control production activities for process equipment fabrication.
• Supervise fabrication and welding activities involving reactive metals, high-nickel alloys and stainless steels.
• Ensure manufacturing activities comply with ASME codes, approved procedures and quality standards.
• Support production planning, scheduling and execution to achieve delivery targets.
• Supervise welding, fabrication, machining, assembly, cladding/lining and testing activities.
• Monitor daily shop-floor activities and resolve production bottlenecks.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, WPS/PQR and manufacturing requirements.
• Coordinate with Planning, Quality, Engineering and Projects teams.
• Prepare production reports, manufacturing records and shop-floor documentation.
• Drive productivity, quality improvement and process optimization initiatives.

Key Qualifications & Skills

Education: B.Tech / Diploma Mechanical Engineering

Experience: 8–12 years of experience in process equipment fabrication/manufacturing, preferably involving pressure vessels, heat exchangers, reactors, columns or corrosion-resistant equipment.

Technical Competence

• Strong knowledge of SMAW, GTAW, SAW, GMAW/FCAW and specialized welding processes.
• Experience in fabrication of Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Reactors, Columns and Process Equipment.
• Exposure to Titanium, Nickel Alloys, Hastelloy, Inconel, Monel, Duplex/Super Duplex SS will be preferred.
• Knowledge of ASME Section II, Section VIII and Section IX.
• Understanding of WPS/PQR, welding procedures, NDT and inspection requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication specifications.
• Strong shop-floor production, manpower and material coordination skills.
• Experience in heavy/process equipment manufacturing will be preferred.
