Job Description
Summary: ISACA is a global organization that champions trust in technology and empowers its community with knowledge and resources. The Intern will support the Corporate Development & Strategy team through market research, financial analysis, and various strategic initiatives to help shape ISACA's growth opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct structured analysis of adjacent and emerging markets relevant to ISACA (e.g., cybersecurity education, AI governance, risk & compliance tools, professional learning platforms)
- Map the market landscape, including traditional competitors, partners, startups, platforms, and ecosystem players
- Identify macro and industry trends (technology, regulation, talent, AI, enterprise demand) shaping ISACA’s opportunity set
- Help define what 'good' looks like for ISACA in corporate development: Target company profiles, Capability gaps vs. build/partner/buy options, Strategic rationale for acquisitions vs. partnerships
- Develop target segmentation frameworks (e.g., by capability, customer segment, geography, and maturity)
- Support evaluation of inorganic growth pathways across short-, medium-, and long-term horizons
- Analyze different organic and inorganic growth models (i.e., buy versus build versus partner, go-to-market, ecosystem alliances)
- Identify potential priority partnership categories and exemplar partners
- Build high-level business cases and strategic assessments (not full diligence)
- Evaluate opportunities against ISACA’s mission, strategy, and operating model
- Create clear, executive-level synthesis for leadership discussions
- Produce structured outputs such as: Market maps and landscape views, Strategic option frameworks, Prioritization matrices, Briefing decks and memos for senior leadership
Required Qualifications:
- Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree, preferably in fields including or related to: Business Administration (MBA)
- Strong verbal communication

- Ability to synthesize complex information into clear executive insights

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in consulting, investment banking, PE, or strategy role
- Experience in cybersecurity, technology, or governance/risk domains
