Engineering Intern

Summary: Iron Bow Technologies is a next generation solutions provider delivering mission success across government, healthcare, and commercial industries. The Engineering Intern will work directly with the Managing Director, focusing on learning operations and assisting in the development and testing of integrated hardware/software solutions. Responsibilities: - Assist in the development and testing of integrated hardware/software solutions (e.g., collaboration devices, peripherals, and control systems) - Work with engineers to prototype, configure, and validate new product capabilities in a lab environment - Support integration efforts across endpoints, codecs, control systems, and cloud platforms (e.g., Teams, Webex) - Write and modify scripts, configurations, or lightweight code to automate device behavior and workflows - Troubleshoot issues across hardware, firmware, and software layers to identify root causes - Participate in lab builds, system bring-up, and functional testing of new solutions - Document configurations, test results, and integration patterns for repeatable deployments - Development of simple automation workflows (e.g., device macros, API integrations, control logic) - Lab-based prototyping of meeting room or workspace solutions - Performance and interoperability testing across platforms (e.g., Teams Rooms, Webex devices) - Evaluation of emerging endpoint technologies and peripherals - Creation of reference architectures and wiring/configuration standards - Development of repeatable deployment templates and technical documentation Required Qualifications: - You are currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field - You excel in an independent work environment with light guidance - You are able to write in a clear manner and have excellent verbal communication skills Required Skills: Hardware/software integration, Collaboration devices, Control systems, Cloud platforms, Scripting, Automation workflows, Prototyping, Testing, Clear verbal communication, Clear written communication
