Summary: IQVIA is a leading global provider of clinical research services and healthcare intelligence. The Automation Summer Intern will support a focused research project on human liver cell organoids, assisting ADME scientists and generating data on metabolic performance and operational feasibility. Responsibilities: - Assist with organoid culture preparation, maintenance, and baseline characterization (morphology, functional markers, viability) - Support parallel ADME studies in organoids and Hurel® systems, including: - Plate setup and dosing of reference compounds - Time‑course sampling for parent depletion and metabolite profiling - Accurate sample labeling, tracking, and documentation - Prepare and submit samples for LC‑MS/MS analysis in collaboration with the bioanalytical team - Maintain clean, organized, and compliant laboratory records following SOPs - Contribute to data organization and preliminary review of clearance, enzyme activity, and metabolite pathway results - Participate in team discussions on operational feasibility (throughput, reproducibility, hands‑on time) - Support preparation of the final comparative data package and internal project deliverables Required Qualifications: - Current undergraduate student majoring in Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Biomedical Engineering, or related field - Foundational understanding of cell biology and basic laboratory techniques - Comfort with aseptic technique, pipetting, and handling biological samples - Strong attention to detail, reliability with timing, and commitment to high-quality documentation - Ability to follow SOPs and maintain clean, organized workspaces - Curiosity, willingness to learn, and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced research environment Preferred Qualifications: - Prior experience with mammalian cell culture (not required but beneficial) - Familiarity with ADME concepts from coursework or lab experience - Interest in microphysiological systems, organoids, or drug metabolism Required Skills: Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology Important Skills: Aseptic technique, Cell culture Nice-to-Have Skills: Curiosity, Attention to detail, Collaboration Internship Start Date: Start in 2026 Summer Benefits: Incentive plans, Bonuses, Health and welfare and/or other benefits
