Requirements:

• Bachelor (s)/master(s) degree in microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Min.experience of 8-10 years in industrial fermentation, preferably in bio-fertilizer, agriculture, or biotech manufacturing.
• Proven expertise in scaling microbial fermentation processes from lab to industrial scale.
• Strong understanding of microbial cultures, anaerobic/aerobic fermentation processes, and downstream processing techniques.
• Experience with fermentation equipment, reactors, control systems, and process automation.
• Knowledge of quality control standards, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and regulatory requirements for bio-fertilizer production.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot fermentation processes.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Proficiency in SAP, ERP, Microsoft & Analytical ability for process control and monitoring

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Oversee fermentation processes to ensure high-quality bio-fertilizer production.
• Manage daily operations of fermentation systems, including starter cultures, inoculation, scaling, and fermentation controls.
• Monitor the fermentation process parameters (e.g., temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen) and make necessary adjustments to optimize productivity and yield.
• Supervise and train the fermentation team, ensuring that the team follows the appropriate standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety guidelines, and quality control measures.
• Collaborate with R&D and process engineering teams to develop and optimize fermentation protocols and implement process improvements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to fermentation equipment, microbial contamination, and process failures.
• Ensure that production schedules are met while maintaining quality and efficiency targets.
• Conduct routine checks, data analysis, and prepare reports on fermentation performance, yields, and deviations.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations related to bio-fertilizer production.
• Maintain proper documentation of fermentation batches, quality control data, and other critical process information.
• Work closely with maintenance teams to ensure equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
• Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in fermentation, microbial growth, and bio-fertilizer production.
• Batch failure Analysis and Trouble shooting.
• Cost Control w.r.t RM, Process efficiency & Operation
