Job Description
Summary: Invitation Homes is a fast-paced evolving publicly traded REIT that is pioneering a new industry with over 110,000 single family rental homes. The Associate Product Manager supports the Product Manager, Enterprise Data in defining, building, and improving data products that power reporting, analytics, and operational decision making across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Break strategic initiatives into epics, features, and user stories with clear acceptance criteria
- Maintain and groom backlogs and prepare items for engineering sprints
- Participate in refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and UAT
- Validate completed work to ensure it meets requirements
- Work with business partners to gather detailed requirements and document workflows
- Support workshops, discovery sessions, and communication with stakeholders
- Provide clear updates on progress and changes throughout the product lifecycle
- Build working knowledge of data systems, models, and ETL or ELT workflows
- Write simple SQL queries or analyze sample data to support validation
- Assist with wireframes, mock reports, or conceptual diagrams
- Help define and track product success metrics
- Monitor user feedback, adoption, and data quality to identify improvements
- Create release notes, guides, and user documentation
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to write clear user stories and acceptance criteria
- Curiosity and willingness to learn technical concepts quickly
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to stay organized and manage multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 or more years in product, business analysis, data engineering, data analytics, or software development preferred
- Experience in Data and Analytics or Agile practices is a plus
