Job Description
Summary: Invesco is one of the world’s leading independent global investment firms, dedicated to rethinking possibilities for clients. The Associate Quantitative Analyst, Fixed Income will develop and maintain internal systems critical to the management of Fixed Income ETFs, working closely with portfolio managers and technology teams.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, support and maintain our proprietary risk, flow and order optimization/monitoring system
- Own our In-Kind Order negotiation and capture process, working directly with Brokers, Portfolio Management, Trading and Technology to enhance our capabilities
- Develop a full understanding of our investment process; become capable of handling orders and rebalances with minimal supervision
- Gain a thorough understanding of the global ETF infrastructure and workflow, which includes Portfolio Management requirements for ETF portfolios managed in Europe, Asia, and the United States
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, physics, mathematics, or electrical engineering, or other scientific discipline preferred
- Prior experience with Python and SQL is required
- Basic knowledge of git is required
- Ability to make quick decisions, establish priorities and concentrate on detailed information under time sensitive conditions
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with JavaScript (esp. React/Angular), Rust, C, C++, Java, C# or similar is also valuable
- Experience with Polars, Plotly Dash (or equivalent), Flask, and the standard python data science stack
- Experience with CI tools (GitHub/BitBucket pipelines, Jenkins) is a plus
- Working knowledge of Linear Programming at the undergraduate level is desirable
- Experience with libraries such as Gurobi/CPLEX/SCIP is a huge plus
- Linux experience, or experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.) is a plus
- Fixed Income/Trading experience is desirable but not required
- Knowledge of the global fixed income markets, prior trading experience, and the ability to provide market color are preferred skills but not required
- Proficiency in any of the following PM systems is considered a plus: Aladdin, Bloomberg, Charles River
