Job Description
Summary: Invenergy is a company that drives innovation in energy, providing power generation and storage solutions to create a cleaner energy future. The Corporate Business Initiatives team is seeking an intern to support high-priority initiatives that aid executive decision-making through financial modeling, business case development, and strategic analyses.
Responsibilities:
- Support strategic and financial analyses related to corporate initiatives, portfolio optimization, and investment decisions
- Build and maintain Excel-based models, trackers, and summary analyses
- Assist with development of executive-level presentations and briefing materials
- Conduct industry, market, and competitive research to support strategic recommendations
- Help synthesize complex information into clear, concise insights for leadership
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather inputs and validate assumptions
- Contribute to ad-hoc projects involving data analysis, scenario evaluation, and process improvement
Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a 4-year Bachelor's degree program, majoring in Finance, Economics, Business, Analytics, or a related field
- Strong academic performance and demonstrated interest in strategy, finance, or analytics
- Ability to work full-time in office during the internship period (summer)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with changing priorities
- Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with financial modeling is a plus
- Experience with PowerPoint, PowerBi, Tableu or similar tools for creating clear, professional presentations
- Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely (written and verbal)
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn new concepts quickly
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team
