Job Description
Summary: Invenergy drives innovation in energy, providing power generation and storage solutions for a cleaner energy future. The Analyst, Mergers & Acquisitions will execute transactions to support the company's pipeline growth and strategic objectives, managing transaction workstreams, performing financial modeling, and facilitating deal origination and relationship management.
Responsibilities:
- Support acquisition and divestiture transactions to ensure efficient deal completion and smooth transition of projects to Development, Construction, or Operations teams
- Assist in the origination of acquisitions based on continuous internal collaboration with the Development, Finance, Origination, Strategy, and Operations teams
- Manage day-to-day cross-functional internal diligence efforts for acquisition opportunities
- Perform financial modeling and valuation in support of transactions
- Evaluate acquisition opportunities and provide recommendations to management on appropriate allocation of time and resources
- Maintain market intelligence and provide updates to management regarding transactions and structures being executed in the market
- Continually improve internal M&A process and usage of associated databases
Required Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in Renewable Development, Finance, Engineering, or related field
- Bachelor's degree
- Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future
- Ability to distill complex issues and synthesize data for presentation to senior management
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and analyze financial models
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Critical thinking skills and the ability to identify and solve complex problems
- Ability to use discretion in handling confidential information
Preferred Qualifications:
- Structured finance / project finance transaction experience
- Ability to advance numerous projects in parallel
- Financial modeling skills in Excel with demonstrable experience developing and managing complex models
- Strong interpersonal skills with the desire to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and to meet deadlines and complete time-sensitive duties
