Job Description
Summary: Invenergy is North America’s largest privately held developer, owner, and operator of power infrastructure. As an Analyst in Finance and Capital Markets, you will support the creation of complex financial models and collaborate with various teams to analyze economic merits and risks associated with energy projects.
Responsibilities:
- Support the development of models to analyze the economic merits and risks associated with wind, solar, storage and natural gas projects
- Contribute to the development of project financing structures and analyze alternative approaches
- Collaborate with company engineers, developers, originators, and accounting professionals to develop appropriate assumptions for project models
- Assist in due diligence processes for project finance, corporate finance and merger & acquisition transactions
- Support closings for debt and equity financing transactions
- Interpret terms in operating agreements, financing agreements, and power hedge agreements and communicate findings to management
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, engineering, or a related field
- 1-2+ years of experience in finance or banking
- Demonstrated ability to develop complex financing models in Excel
- Familiarity with project or corporate finance transactions and documentation
- Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Possesses self-starter qualities with the ability to work independently with minimal direction
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Ability to prioritize several concurrent tasks in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with project or corporate finance transactions in power generation or energy/utilities sector preferred
