Intern: Release Engineering at Intrinsic in Mountain View, CA

Summary: Intrinsic is Alphabet’s initiative focused on reimagining industrial robotics through advancements in AI and software. The Release Engineering intern will optimize and specialize the release infrastructure, enabling developers to effectively deliver software across the Intrinsic ecosystem. Responsibilities: - Create and modify build and deployment pipelines that deliver Intrinsic software - Work with Engineering Productivity to investigate slow builds and mitigate with improved caching or build architecture - Bring up new release components as our platform expands - Identify and resolve bottlenecks in the build, test, and deployment process Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's or Master's student in Computer Science or related field required - Programming experience with Linux Shell scripting, Go, or Python - Familiarity with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins or similar CI/CD systems - Experience with Git and version control workflows - Enthusiasm for solving challenging problems with measurement and data-driven solutions - Effective coordination skills for complicated software development efforts across distributed teams - Strong verbal and written communication skills Required Skills: Linux Shell scripting, Go, Python Important Skills: GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Git Nice-to-Have Skills: Effective coordination, communication Benefits: Bonus, Equity, Benefits
